Trying out littleFedi by migrating myself to it wholesale and seeing how that goes. I wrote a little NixOS module to configure it, which was fun.
And with that I'm now back to properly self-hosting all my stuff from home 🎉

@sntx@bsd.cafe I've been using NixOS for 3-4 years now. Every little thing that isn't already packaged and/or without a module to configure it still feels like a fight 😅
But every time I migrate a server, an individual service, or setup a new desktop/laptop, I'm grateful that a git clone and nixos-rebuild and a quick rsync of my data gets it done.
And deploying a new service which does have a module being as simple as services.<thing>.enable = true with maybe a handful of other settings is pretty wonderful.
@stephen Yeah, I have a NixOS laptop to get familiarised with the workflow, and it went well enough to try deploying VPS servers.
Just this weekend I tested a deployment with clan, with mitigated success. Powerful toolkit, but ain’t nobody got time for that.
